From Sketch to Print: Our Design Process

An inside look at how each exclusive SVYT print is created

At SVYT, every capsule begins as an idea—a fleeting image, a piece of art history, a pattern glimpsed in the world around us. Our prints are more than surface decoration; they’re stories, captured in fabric. Here’s how each piece goes from inspiration to wearable art.

1. Inspiration & Research

The process starts with research and moodboarding. We draw from ancient relics, baroque textures, architecture, and contemporary art, blending historic and modern influences. Our goal? To create prints that feel timeless, yet fresh—artifacts for the future.

2. Sketching & Concept Art

Next, our team sketches ideas by hand and digitally, exploring shapes, motifs, and color palettes. We test how these elements might interact on a sculpted silhouette. Each sketch goes through rounds of review, where we look for that spark: Does it feel bold? Is it wearable? Does it feel like SVYT?

3. Digital Development

Once a concept is chosen, we move to digital rendering. Here, we refine details, experiment with scale, and test how patterns will wrap around the body. Using advanced design software, our artists adjust transparency, layering, and placement to make sure every inch of fabric becomes part of the story.

4. Material Testing

A print is only as good as the material it’s on. We source premium, often recycled fabrics and print initial samples to test how colors and textures appear in real life. This stage is about feeling—making sure the print complements the fabric’s stretch, shine, and sculpted fit.

5. Prototyping & Adjustments

We create prototype garments to see how the design translates in 3D. Sometimes, patterns shift or surprise us when worn—so we tweak color, placement, or scale until every piece feels like a true “art-skin.”

6. Final Printing & Production

Once approved, we print the final run in limited quantities. Each SVYT capsule is produced with care and precision, ensuring every top is both collectible and wearable.

7. The Story Lives On

Every finished piece carries its journey with it: from sketchbook, to screen, to your wardrobe. We hope our process inspires you to see fashion as more than clothing—each SVYT piece is a relic, a canvas, and a conversation.
